India's Ashmita Chaliha, 26, won the Korea Masters 2026 women's singles title on Sunday (9 August) in Asan, South Korea. She beat Chinese fourth seed Han Qian Xi, world number 35, 14-21, 21-14, 21-14 in 53 minutes. It is Chaliha's first BWF World Tour title. She becomes the fourth Indian woman to win a BWF Tour title this year, after PV Sindhu (Japan Open), Devika Sihag (Thailand Masters), and Tanvi Sharma (Taipei Open). Chaliha, who missed three months due to a right knee tear, had lost the first game in both the quarterfinal and final but fought back.
