# Ashmita Chaliha wins Korea Masters for biggest career title

Ashmita Chaliha won the Korea Masters women’s singles title in Asan on Sunday, beating China’s Han Qian Xi 14-21, 21-14, 21-14 in 53 minutes. The 26-year-old left-hander recovered after losing the opening game to claim the biggest title of her career. Chaliha became the third Indian women’s singles player to win a BWF World Tour Super 300 title this year, after Devika Sihag and Tanvi Sharma. Former world No. 1 Saina Nehwal and former world champion PV Sindhu have also won titles at this level. Chaliha, ranked 50th in the world, said she was now “hungry for more”.
