# Ashmith wins Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Kannada, Rs 20 lakh prize 2026-08-23T18:28:57+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Ashmith has won the title of Zee Kannada's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs Kannada, taking home the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh. The two-day Grand Finale aired on August 22 and 23 at 7 PM on Zee Kannada. The season featured young talents from Karnataka guided by judges Rajesh Krishnan, Arjun Janya and Vijay Prakash. The six finalists were Ashmith, Achinthya, Mahanya, Harrush, Jayalakshmi and Avyukth. India TV News reported the winner and prize. Deccan Chronicle covered the finale build-up before the winner was known. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both sources report the same event, but they differ in timing and emphasis. India TV News led with the result, naming Ashmith as the winner and the Rs 20 lakh prize. Deccan Chronicle, published before the finale, focused on the build-up, listing the six finalists and the judges but naming no winner. The gap reflects a pre- and post-event news cycle. Neither carries any editorial slant, both are straightforward promotional coverage for Zee Kannada. The takeaway is that Deccan Chronicle did not update its story to include the outcome after the finale was broadcast. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - indiatvnews.com (neutral report) Reported the winner and prize post-finale, no slant - deccanchronicle.com (neutral report) Pre-finale build-up, listed finalists but no result This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
