# Assam flood toll reaches 103, relief operations continue

Assam's flood death toll this year climbed to 103 after two more people drowned in the last 24 hours, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority said. One person died in Sivasagar and another in Karbi Anglong. The number of affected people fell to about 87,000 across four districts, Golaghat, Jorhat, Nagaon and Sivasagar, down from nearly 1.13 lakh on Tuesday. Golaghat remains the worst-hit with over 42,000 affected. The administration is running 79 relief camps and distribution centres, sheltering 13,011 people. Relief supplies include 96.55 quintals of rice, 18.26 quintals of dal, and over 204 litres of mustard oil. However, 433 villages remain under water, over 10,884 hectares of cropland are damaged, and the Dhansiri River still flows above the danger mark at Numaligarh.
