# August AI in talks to raise $4 Mn from Peak XV Partners

August AI, an AI-powered health companion startup, is in talks to raise about $4 Mn from Peak XV Partners, sources told Inc42. The deal comes roughly 10 months after the company raised a $3 Mn seed round from Accel and Claypond Capital, the family office of Manipal Group chairman Ranjan Pai. The startup’s valuation and other investor participation are not yet final. Founded in 2022 by IIT-BHU alumnus Anuruddh Mishra, August AI helps users understand symptoms, prescriptions, and medical reports through its website, app, and WhatsApp. It supports 30-plus languages and uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI. At its last fundraise, it claimed over 35 lakh active users, including 1 lakh doctors.
