Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 has dominated the box office in its opening weekend, collecting an estimated Rs 117.49 crore worldwide in three days, as per Koimoi. Pinkvilla reports the film earned Rs 114 crore globally in the same period. In India, the film earned a net of Rs 84.31 crore, recovering 87% of its Rs 45 crore budget. Overseas, it earned $2.02 million (Rs 19.31 crore), becoming Hashmi's highest solo overseas grosser. The film's competitor, Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947, earned an estimated Rs 22.9 crore net in its opening weekend, with a morning occupancy of 6.5% on day four, according to Koimoi. The same outlet reports Awarapan 2's morning occupancy was 11.15% on day four. Koimoi says Batwara 1947's growth is limited by the strong competition, though its word of mouth is positive. Awarapan 2 has entered the list of the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026, ranking eighth globally. It is now Rs 5.61 crore away from overtaking O Romeo (Rs 123.1 crore) for the seventh spot. The film is expected to continue its strong run on Monday.
