The sequel also recorded Emraan Hashmi’s biggest solo opening, surpassing the reported lifetime India net of 2007’s Awarapan, around Rs 7.7 crore. Awarapan 2 recorded 38,600 peak-hour BookMyShow sales on Saturday, August 15, according to Koimoi, ahead of Dunki and Raid 2 in the publication’s comparison. TrackTollywood reported Rs 13.6 crore in advance bookings for Day 2 and said the film was tracking towards Rs 30 crore. Batwara 1947’s Day 1 reviews were mixed, while Awarapan 2 received stronger word of mouth.
