# Ramdev warns Centre to fix exam scam or face protests

On Independence Day, yoga guru Ramdev warned the Narendra Modi government that student protests over alleged irregularities in education and recruitment exams will intensify if the Centre does not fix the 'ghapla' (scam). Speaking at Patanjali Yogpeeth, he claimed corruption in government job interviews runs as high as 99% and selections are based on caste and bribes of up to Rs 1 crore. He also criticised the lack of basic facilities like teachers, water and electricity in schools. Ramdev urged Gen Z protesters to stay within constitutional limits and condemned growing communal hostility. He referenced his own anti-corruption protest at Ramlila Maidan in 2011, warning he may have to protest again.
