The injured cow later died during treatment. Dr Rahul Siddharth, posted at Usawan's Community Health Centre, was travelling to Badaun market when the accident occurred around 2.30 pm. Police said the crowd vandalised the SUV, smashing its windows with bricks and sticks, and assaulted the doctor despite his pleas. He was rescued by police after an alert.
