# Bajaj General, Swiss Re sign MoU for commercial insurance tie-up

Bajaj General Insurance and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions have signed an MoU to explore a commercial insurance partnership in India. The proposed tie-up, subject to definitive agreements and regulatory approvals, will combine Bajaj General’s domestic distribution with Swiss Re’s international programmes platform. The initial focus will be high-tech and manufacturing risks. The companies also plan to offer international insurance programmes for Indian businesses operating overseas and support multinational corporations in India. Swiss Re called India the fastest-growing major commercial insurance market globally. Bajaj General is a Bajaj Finserv subsidiary with a presence across nearly 1,500 towns and cities.
