In a post on X, he urged them to hoist black flags and wear black armbands to reject Pakistani rule, calling Balochistan an independent, sovereign country. The Freepress Journal reports that Baloch also condemned recent Pakistani military airstrikes in the Surab region that allegedly killed nearly thirty civilians, mostly women and children. Human rights activist Dr Mahrang Baloch, currently in jail, echoed the condemnation, calling the airstrikes an act of genocide. She said 27 people were killed and injured, including children, in the bombing of homes. Protests have erupted in Surab after reports of the airstrike in the Gidar Goandhan area. The Balochistan Post reported that over 20 people were killed and 16 injured.
