# Banbasa to Get Regular Halt for Achhnera-Tanakpur Express

The Union Railways Ministry has approved a regular halt for the Achhnera-Tanakpur Express at Banbasa station in Uttarakhand, the state government said on Thursday. The decision covers trains 15093 and 15094 and follows Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s request to improve rail access in the Kumaon region. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Dhami through an official communication. Banbasa, in Champawat district near the India-Nepal border, is used by traders, students, pilgrims, defence families and other travellers. The ministry has not said when the halt will begin or whether a revised timetable has been issued.
