# 11 rescued as fire hits Banjara Hills building cellar

A fire broke out in the cellar of a G+6 commercial building on Road No. 11, Banjara Hills, around 6.30 am on Saturday. Fire personnel rescued 11 residents and workers from the building, which houses a media channel office and a restaurant. The cellar contained a liquor shop godown, with around 100 bottles and scrap material, and a parking area. Two electric bikes and a four-wheeler were damaged. District Fire Officer T Venkanna said the cause appears to be a short circuit but is still under investigation. Over 50 firefighters with six tenders took nearly six hours to douse the flames.
