Centres will operate at the mandal headquarters of Bapatla, Chirala, Parchur, Cherukupalli and Vemuru. Super fine and steam rice will be sold at Rs 52 per kg, while raw rice will cost Rs 50 per kg. The move follows market prices of around Rs 65 per kg for super fine rice. Each rice card holder can buy up to 26 kg, but must show both the rice card and Aadhaar card.
