Bayer Leverkusen had a storied season last year when they won the Bundesliga undefeated under the leadership of their manager Xabi Alonso. Bayer Leverkusen broke the deadlock that was held by Bayern Munich over the German league. Now this season, it would seem that things have gone back to the way they were as Bayern Munich is once again dominating the Bundesliga and hold a strong grasp at the top of the table. Bayern Munich defeated Stuttgart 3-1 to extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
Bayer Leverkusen on the other hand are in second with 50 points but the thing to note is that they have a game in hand and with a win, they can cut Bayern’s lead down to 8 points.
Bayern Munich in what was another fantastic outing for them, defeated Vfb Stuttgart 3-1 to further extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table. Things got nervy during the first half for Bayern Munich as Vfb Stuttgart struck first thanks to a goal from Angelo Stiller.
It was in the 45th minute that Bayern Munich got a goal back as Michael Olise put the Bavarian giants back on level terms.
Bayern Munich dominated the second half against Vfb Stuttgart as they scored two more goals to take the final scoreline to 3-1. Midfielder Leon Goretzka scored Bayern Munich’s second goal in the 64th minute to give Bayern Munich the advantage against Stuttgart.
In the end, Kingsley Coman put the final nail in the coffin as he scored Bayern Munich’s third goal to get them another win and an 11 point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.
Bundesliga’s top scorer Harry Kane failed to be on the scoresheets for Bayern Munich.
