A source at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) has blamed IPL franchise and financial pressures for players competing while injured, worsening India's injury crisis. Former NCA head physio Ashish Kaushik told National Herald that no centralised monitoring system exists across national, domestic, and IPL teams, leading to inconsistent treatment. The CoE's top medical post has been vacant since Nitin Patel stepped down in March 2025. V.V.S.
