# BCCI to seek Centre nod for Bangladesh white-ball tour

The BCCI will approach the Indian government for clearance to send the national team to Bangladesh for three ODIs and three T20Is scheduled between August 29 and September 15, sources told Times Now. The tour was in doubt after ties between the boards frayed following the T20 World Cup, and the Muhammad Yunus-led Bangladesh government had refused to send its team to India over security concerns. But recent geopolitical changes have raised hopes the series can proceed. A BCCI source said the board and the Bangladesh Cricket Board are in constant communication. "We can't take any decision on our own at this stage. No decision has been taken yet, but we will soon approach the government," the source said. The BCB has kept the window open, but the final call rests with the Indian government, which must approve the tour.
