The monsoon is expected to arrive around June 8. At a virtual meeting with KMC, KMDA, PWD, SUDA and other agencies, Paul said lessons from last year's flooding were being used in this year's strategy. Vulnerable areas include Chingrighata in Bidhannagar, parts along the Bagjola canal and the Chorial canal belt. Extra pumps are on standby.
