# Bengaluru man arrested after firing air gun from apartment balcony

Police arrested Anurag Tiwari after he allegedly fired an air gun from his balcony at a Bengaluru apartment complex for about 40 to 45 minutes early Thursday. The incident took place at Sipani Bliss near Anekal, where residents and security guards reported hearing shots around 2.30am. The Times of India reports that pellets damaged a parked SUV’s rear windshield and were fired towards guards who confronted Tiwari. Times Now says a parking shed was also damaged. Police took him into custody after he locked himself inside his flat. Tiwari, who works for a private company in Whitefield, was booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 351 and 324, along with provisions of the Arms Act. No injuries were reported.
