# Bengaluru Techie Held After 45-Minute Air Gun Firing From Balcony

A 40-year-old software engineer, Anurag Tiwari, was arrested after allegedly firing an air gun from his third-floor balcony at Sipani Apartments near Bandapura in Anekal. Police said the firing continued for about 45 minutes and damaged parked vehicles, including shattered window glass. Security guards who went to investigate were also allegedly targeted. No injuries were reported. Tiwari, a Lucknow native employed at a private IT company in Whitefield, had lived at the complex for eight months. Police said he had consumed alcohol and was heard arguing on the phone before the incident. Surya Nagar police seized the air gun and pellets, collected forensic evidence and registered a case. Officers are checking whether he legally possessed the weapon and whether further offences apply.
