Bengaluru couple Sumant Jain and Padmavathi were found dead at their rented home Thursday morning after an argument Wednesday night turned violent. Sumant, a civil engineer, allegedly hit his wife’s face and suffocated her with a pillow. He then called his mother and sent a message before hanging himself. The couple, married over three years, had lived there four months. Hindustan Times reports the exact cause of Padmavathi’s death is not yet established. Rajagopal Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating.
