Abdul Salam, from Jayanagar’s Byrasandra, said he met a woman called Anjali online while sourcing premium marble for a house being built in Kerala. She claimed to run a wholesale business near Ajmer and later introduced him to a man presented as its owner. The accused allegedly sent photographs showing 5,000 square feet of marble loaded for delivery. Salam transferred Rs 4,59,676 to three bank accounts, but the traders stopped responding.
