# Bengaluru Police Arrest Man Over Alleged TTP-Linked Pakistan Army Plot

Bengaluru Police have arrested a West Bengal native accused of plotting an attack on the Pakistan Army with an alleged member of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Hindustan Times reports. The man, identified as Asaful Mallick, worked as a security guard in Jigani Industrial Area. IndiaTV News puts his age at 25, while Hindustan Times reports he is 23. Police allegedly found that Mallick had contacted Imran Ahindar, whom investigators identified as a TTP member based in Afghanistan, through Facebook. The FIR says Mallick was angry over alleged atrocities against Muslims and mosques in Pakistan, as well as Pakistan’s position on the Israel-Palestine conflict. Police registered a case under Section 113(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation is continuing.
