A 31-year-old techie from Bengaluru has been missing for two days after a solo trek to Shivagange Hill, triggering a multi-agency search. Advait Upadhyay, an Indore native working at a finance firm in Whitefield, told his fiancée he was going trekking at 7.30am on Friday. CCTV showed him parking his rented bike at the foothills and starting his climb. His phone has been switched off; its last traced location was off the trekking route, deepening the mystery. Search teams using drones have scoured the steep terrain, especially near Shantala Drop, a dangerous cliff. The Hindustan Times reports that Upadhyay's family suspects he was kidnapped or harmed by robbers who saw him alone.
