A 32-year-old Bengaluru interior designer, Sani Krishna, plans to approach the consumer court after a bike taxi ride booked through Rapido left her with severe injuries and medical bills exceeding Rs 20 lakh. The accident occurred on June 17 near Bagmane Tech Park when the rider attempted to overtake a tractor, causing her to fall and be run over. She was treated in Bengaluru and later moved to a hospital in Kozhikode. Krishna alleges Rapido offered no direct help, only automated emails directing her to an insurance claims process with a cover of just Rs 1 lakh. Rapido claims it is in touch with her, but she denies receiving meaningful assistance. Several other users have reportedly contacted her with similar complaints. She has issued a legal notice and is now pursuing legal action.
