# Bethlehem Kudumba Unit earns Rs 60 crore opening weekend 2026-08-24T16:42:15+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 3 independent outlets Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, the Malayalam film starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, has collected over Rs 60 crore globally in its opening weekend, according to 123telugu.com. The film earned close to Rs 7 crore on Sunday alone and is heading toward the Rs 100 crore milestone. Pinkvilla.com reports a slightly higher figure of Rs 64 crore worldwide over three days. Directed by Girish AD of Premalu fame, the film opened on August 21 to strong reviews and packed houses in Kerala and overseas. The Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions will release on September 4, Cinema Express reports. The film is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran under Bhavana Studios. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All three sources report the opening weekend as a clear success, differing only on the exact figure: 123telugu.com cites Rs 60 crore, while Pinkvilla.com says Rs 64 crore. Cinema Express focuses on the dubbed release announcement, framing the box office performance as a given. The Rs 4 crore gap between the two box office reports is small but reflects typical variations in tracking. The next milestone to watch is whether the film crosses Rs 100 crore in its full run. Corrected 1 October 2026: a closing sentence about a tribunal hearing, which no source reported, was removed. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - 123telugu.com (neutral report) Reports box office figures without comment - pinkvilla.com (neutral report) Reports box office figures without comment - cinemaexpress.com (neutral report) Focuses on dubbed release, not box office This story was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above.
