RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said in Mumbai that Gen Z and Gen Alpha protesters are “our own people”, not anti-national, and that protest is a legitimate form of democratic dialogue. Speaking at an IIMUN event attended by around 2,000 young people, he said their grievances were genuine and should be met with logical answers, warmth and respect. Bhagwat also backed raising education spending to 6% of GDP, saying education should not be treated as a commercial business. He urged social media users to verify content, warning that technology can create fake videos and voices. On Pakistan and China, he said conflict should not permanently sever ties.
