# Bhatti seeks special panel to review Global Summit MoUs 2026-08-26T22:46:34+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday called for a special committee to review the status of MoUs signed during the Global Summit-2025. He also directed officials to begin preparations for the Telangana Rising Global Summit-2026, Invest Telangana, scheduled for December 7-9 at Bharat Future City. A cabinet sub-committee meeting chaired by Bhatti was held at Mahatma Phule Praja Bhavan with ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and D Sridhar Babu, chief secretary Sanjay Jaju, and senior officials. Bhatti ordered the immediate establishment of a dedicated war room at Praja Bhavan and asked for invitations to guests to be sent without delay. Bhatti suggested the chief secretary supervise the war room, which should be headed by a senior officer. He said experts and key officials must be part of the committees formed for the summit. The chief secretary was asked to give at least one hour daily to review summit-related progress and ensure each committee meets its deadlines. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Telangana's government has been using the Global Summit platform since 2023 to attract investment, with the first edition held in Hyderabad. The 2026 edition will be the second such summit under the Congress government led by chief minister Revanth Reddy. The review of earlier MoUs comes amid questions about how many of the signed agreements have translated into actual projects. The war room and daily review mechanism signal an attempt to improve follow-through. Investors will watch whether the state can convert the MoUs into jobs and capital expenditure before the December summit. ## Coverage - timesofindia.indiatimes.com Straight news report on Bhatti's directives, no slant or opinion This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
