Comedian Samay Raina has donated Rs 10 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as floods continue to affect communities across the state. The Chief Minister’s Office acknowledged the contribution on X and shared a screenshot of the RTGS transaction. Hindustan Times reports that 1,55,849 people remained affected, with the death toll at 98. Golaghat was the worst-hit district, followed by Sivasagar and Jorhat. Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Randeep Hooda have also joined relief work. Pednekar travelled with the Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation, reaching flooded homes by boat and distributing supplies, while Hooda helped serve meals and pack essentials in Sivasagar.
