# Bihar tourism launches three Patna tour packages 2026-11-08T08:26:34+00:00 | India | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation has launched three one-day tour packages for Patna and its surrounding areas. The packages are designed for school children, weekend tourists, and pilgrims visiting religious sites. The packages include transport, breakfast, lunch and dinner, tea-coffee, drinking water, monument entry fees, and a trained guide. Tourism police will also be deployed to ensure safety. The school package covers Patna Zoo, Governor House, Secretariat, Eco Park, Bihar Museum, Golghar, Gandhi Sangrahalaya, Sabhyata Dwar, Science Centre, and Buddha Smriti Park. For the school package, the fare is Rs 2,000 per person by AC traveller bus and Rs 2,500 by Innova or Etios. The religious tour includes temples such as Mahavir, ISKCON, Sheetla Mata, Badi Patan Devi, Agankuan, Chhoti Patan Devi, and Jalla Mahavir, with lunch at Patna Sahib Gurudwara, bus fare is Rs 1,500 and traveller fare Rs 1,600 per person. Bookings and details are available at www.tourism.bihar.gov.in. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The packages bundle transport, meals, entry fees and a guide, removing the need for individual bookings at each site. The inclusion of tourism police addresses a recurring visitor concern about safety. For schools, the fixed per-person fare simplifies budgeting for field trips. The religious package's stop at Patna Sahib Gurudwara for lunch indicates an attempt to accommodate Sikh pilgrims within the same itinerary. The state corporation's own website is the single booking channel, keeping the process centralised. Whether the packages attract enough bookings to cover their operational cost will determine if they are expanded or discontinued. ## Coverage - tv9hindi.com Straight news listing of packages, fares and facilities without editorialising.
