# BJP, JD(S) unite to oppose Bidadi township project

BJP and JD(S) have decided to jointly oppose the Congress government's proposed Bidadi township project in Karnataka. The opposition parties will coordinate protests inside and outside the legislature during the upcoming monsoon session. They also plan a padayatra led by JD(S) youth president Nikhil Kumaraswamy, with BJP workers joining. A state-level coordination committee of around 10 members will be formed. The BJP's Leader of Opposition R Ashoka said the two parties would jointly raise issues including alleged irregularities in KPSC and drought.
