# BJP MP Radha Mohan Das Agarwal’s Delhi house burgled 2026-10-04T14:37:06+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal's government residence at 18, Firozeshah Road in Delhi's VIP area was burgled on Sunday, 4 October. Police received a call in the morning and a team reached the spot along with a forensic team that is collecting evidence. Thieves stole a tablet, essential items and a drain cover from the bathroom. The MP's family is expected to arrive in Delhi by evening, after which the exact list of stolen items will be clear. Police are checking CCTV footage and collecting fingerprints to determine the entry point and timing of the crime. The incident in a high-security VIP area has raised questions about security arrangements, with TV9 Hindi and Aaj Tak both reporting that the theft points to lapses in police patrolling and intelligence. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both TV9 Hindi and Aaj Tak report the same facts about the theft at BJP MP Radha Mohan Das Agarwal's residence, including the unusual removal of a drain cover. TV9 Hindi leads with the drain cover in its headline and explicitly questions VIP security, police patrolling and intelligence agencies. Aaj Tak is more restrained, noting that the incident has raised questions about security without assigning blame. The difference is one of emphasis: TV9 Hindi frames the event as a security failure, while Aaj Tak presents it as a straightforward crime report. A balanced reading is that the facts are not disputed, but the security implications are left for authorities to clarify once the family provides a full inventory. Both outlets report the family's expected arrival in the evening and the ongoing investigation. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 1 government-critical, 1 neutral - tv9hindi.com (government critical) Leads with drain cover, explicitly questions VIP security and police - aajtak.in (neutral report) Straight crime report, mentions security questions without blame This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
