# Hyderabad police deploy 2,400 personnel for Bonalu security

Hyderabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Sunday inspected security at Lal Darwaja Sri Simhavahini Mahankali Ammavari Temple for Ashada Masa Bonalu. Around 2,400 police personnel are deployed in two shifts, with crime teams and picketing at temples. Drones and additional CCTV cameras have been installed; a command control room is monitoring the festival. The Times of India reports over five lakh devotees were expected on Sunday, causing heavy traffic congestion across central and eastern Hyderabad. The festival concludes Monday with ‘Rangam’ (oracle prediction) at Akkanna Madanna temple and a procession carrying the ghatam.
