Vice-President Manohar Halahali told ETAuto that the company is also investing in vehicle control units and expanding capacity for electronic controls, sensors and anti-lock braking systems. While electric two-wheeler volumes have risen to around 1.5-1.6 lakh units, Halahali said profitability depends on scale, deeper localisation and reducing supply-chain risks involving China, rare-earth magnets and lithium.
