The preliminary exam was scheduled for July 26, 2026, but BPSC postponed it on July 18, citing unavoidable circumstances. It has not announced a fresh date. The exam has 150 objective questions, lasts two hours and carries one-third negative marking for wrong answers. The recruitment drive covers 1,230 vacancies.
