# BRS Protests Water Diversion, Demands GRMB Agenda Change

Andhra Pradesh police stopped a BRS delegation led by former minister S Niranjan Reddy from visiting the Pothireddypadu head regulator on Wednesday. Reddy accused Andhra of diverting 4-5 TMCft of Krishna water daily and criticised the Telangana Congress government for not using lift pumps to protect farmers’ interests. Separately, senior BRS leader B Vinod Kumar demanded the Union government remove Telangana irrigation projects from the agenda of the Godavari River Management Board meeting scheduled for August 18 in Hyderabad. He alleged Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu asked the Centre to cancel permissions for seven projects built between 2018 and 2025. BRS has threatened an agitation if the issue remains on the agenda. The party also criticised Telangana MPs for staying silent on the matter.
