# BSE to replace Wipro in Nifty50 from September 30

BSE Ltd will replace Wipro Ltd in the Nifty 50 index from September 30, 2026, as per NSE Indices' semi-annual review. The change is driven by BSE's average free-float market capitalisation of Rs 1,40,879 crore, more than double Wipro's Rs 55,930 crore. HDFC Life Insurance and Tata Consumer Products remain in the index as the next smallest constituents are below the 1.5x threshold for replacement. Wipro will move to the Nifty Next 50, joining new entrants Hitachi Energy India, Polycab India, Vedanta Aluminium Metal, and Vodafone Idea. The Nifty 100 also sees additions including BSE, replacing Indian Hotels, Lodha Developers, REC, Shree Cement, and United Spirits. The changes apply across several indices and take effect after trading closes on September 29.
