Under MGNREGA, only 27% of proposed works were completed, with Rs 321.84 crore in unpaid wages. Separately, New Indian Express reports that the Green India Mission achieved only 0.034 million hectares of forest cover against a 1.4 million hectare target, a 97.57% shortfall, due to poor coordination and underfunding.
