# CBSE extends Class 10 scanned answer sheet application deadline

CBSE has started accepting applications for scanned copies of Class 10 answer sheets for the 2026 board exams, with the deadline set for August 9. Students can apply at cbse.gov.in for any subject taken in the main exam, paying Rs 300 per subject as processing fee. After receiving scanned copies, candidates can apply for marks verification from August 16-19 at Rs 300 per answer book, or re-evaluation of full questions at Rs 100 per question. The board had earlier extended deadlines for Class 12 scanned copies multiple times after students complained about portal access issues. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan asked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for help to overhaul the payment gateway, and four public sector banks will assist. IIT-Madras and IIT-Kanpur teams have been deputed to examine technical problems.
