The consultation is open from 1 August to 2 October 2026 through the MyGov platform. The department is seeking practical and scalable proposals on household toilets, community sanitary complexes, solid and liquid waste, plastic waste, faecal sludge, GOBARdhan and public communication. It also wants solutions for pollution in small waterways, rural and peri-urban sanitation, maintenance of assets, resource recovery and community ownership.
