# Cessna trainer skids off Baramati runway DGCA to probe

A training aircraft skidded off the runway at Baramati airfield in Maharashtra on Sunday, the civil aviation ministry said. The Cessna C172, operated by Academy of Carver Aviation, was conducting a rejected take-off exercise around 12.25 pm when it veered off the paved surface. No injuries were reported. The plane, with instructor Captain Chirag Shashikant Doifode and trainee Abhijeet Jundre on board, sustained damage to the propeller, engine cowling and nose landing gear. The DGCA is sending an air safety team to investigate the incident. Baramati is a hub for flight training schools.
