# Chaitanya, Akhil want to remake Nagarjuna’s Hello Brother 2026-08-19T18:48:56+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets In a recent interview with Variety India, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni revealed that their favourite film of their father, Nagarjuna Akkineni, is Hello Brother. The 1994 film, directed by EVV Satyanarayana, featured Nagarjuna in a dual role as twin brothers alongside Ramya Krishna and Soundarya. Both sons said they would like to remake the film. Naga Chaitanya also listed Geethanjali among his favourites. The brothers have not yet acted together in a full-length film, though they appeared alongside Nagarjuna and the late Akkineni Nageswara Rao in Manam. Nagarjuna said during the interaction that he hopes his sons make bold career choices, as he did with Hello Brother, which he said defined his path. Akhil recently scored a hit with Lenin, while Chaitanya is set to release Vrushakarma later this year. Nagarjuna is expected to announce the release of his 100th film, King100, soon. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both TeluguCinema and Pinkvilla report the same basic facts about the Akkineni family interview. TeluguCinema leads with the sons' shared wish to remake Hello Brother, while Pinkvilla foregrounds Nagarjuna's comment about bold choices and the film defining his career. The difference is one of emphasis: TeluguCinema takes a fan-interest approach, Pinkvilla adds a generational-legacy frame. Neither outlet is critical or political. The middle ground is that this is a promotional interview with family bonding as the story. What to watch: the release dates of Vrushakarma and King100. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - telugucinema.com (neutral report) Straight reporting of the interview, no editorial slant. - pinkvilla.com (neutral report) Leads with Nagarjuna's quote about bold choices, but no slant.
