# Chennai Open gets Rs 10 crore, line calling on all courts

The Tamil Nadu government has given Rs 10 crore to support the WTA 250 Chennai Open women's tennis championship from November 2 to 8, the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association (TNTA) announced on Friday. For the first time, electronic line calling will be used on all three match courts, replacing last year's Hawk Eye system that was limited to centre court. TNTA president Vijay Amritraj said most sponsors from previous years have returned and talks are on to attract two to four top-50 players. State officials also expressed interest in bringing back the men's ATP 250 event.
