# Chetan Hansraj plays seven roles in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

Actor Chetan Hansraj will play seven characters in Nitesh Tiwari's two-part film Ramayana, including Raja Mali, the maternal grandfather of Ravana, played by Yash. Hansraj told Hindustan Times that after wrapping Raja Mali, he was given six motion-capture roles including a brother of Ravana and a demon. He dismissed comparisons with Ramanand Sagar's TV series, citing top Hollywood and Bollywood action directors and technicians like Terry Notary aboard. The 4-minute trailer, released on July 30, features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The film's music is by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Part I releases in India on November 8, 2026 (Diwali), and two days earlier overseas. Part II is due on Diwali 2027.
