# Chirag Paswan unveils new LJP (Ramvilas) national executive list 2026-08-27T04:17:19+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Chirag Paswan has released a new national executive list for the Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) faction, the party announced on Wednesday. The list includes new office bearers across all organisational levels, from national president to state and district units. The announcement came as a party statement posted on social media, quoting Paswan saying the new team would strengthen the party's organisational base. The list includes names for national vice-presidents, general secretaries, and secretaries, along with state-level appointments for multiple states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. The reshuffle is seen as part of the party's preparation for upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, where LJP (Ramvilas) is an ally of the National Democratic Alliance. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The LJP (Ramvilas) faction was formed after a split with Chirag Paswan's uncle Pashupati Paras, who now leads a rival faction recognised by the Election Commission. The new executive list signals Chirag Paswan is consolidating his organisational base ahead of the Bihar assembly elections, due by late 2025. With the NDA coalition government at the centre, Paswan's bargaining power within the alliance depends on how many seats his party can contest and win in Bihar, where the LJP (Ramvilas) traditionally draws support from Dalit and extremely backward class voters. The party will now need to hold internal elections to formalise the new office bearers under the Representation of the People Act rules for registered political parties. ## Coverage - odishatv.in Leads with a factual announcement and embeds the release as a direct quote, no slant This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
