# Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara may release only in Summer 2027 2026-08-24T23:01:37+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Megastar Chiranjeevi's fantasy action drama Vishwambhara may not release this year, with new reports suggesting a Summer 2027 release, according to 123telugu.com. The film has faced repeated delays after its teaser received negative feedback, requiring more time for VFX and CGI work. The makers shared only a poster and OST for Chiranjeevi's birthday, without revealing release plans. m9.news frames the delay as a curse reminiscent of the film Anji, which took years to release and failed at the box office. It cites other delayed Telugu films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Radhe Shyam that struggled commercially despite hype, while noting Baahubali and Kalki 2898 AD as rare exceptions where long production led to success. m9.news raises the question whether Vishwambhara will become another Anji or pull off a Baahubali. The film is directed by Vassishta. Chiranjeevi's other film Kaaka is scheduled for a Sankranthi 2027 release. ## Indian Opinion Analysis 123telugu.com reports the delay as a factual update, citing VFX work and fan worry. m9.news sensationalises the delay by framing it as a curse and comparing Vishwambhara to Anji, a notorious flop, while acknowledging Baahubali as a counter-example. Neither source provides an official statement from the makers or a confirmed new date. The balanced reading: the film is delayed, but the comparison to Anji is speculative. What to watch for: an official announcement from the production team. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 1 neutral, 1 sensationalist - 123telugu.com (neutral report) Reports delay as factual, notes fan worry but no editorialising - m9.news (sensationalist) Frames delay as curse, uses dramatic comparisons to Anji This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
