Christy Knowings, best known for her role on Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy show All That, died on Tuesday night at age 46 after being taken off life support. TMZ reported that she suffered a severe asthma attack on August 7 that caused brain damage. She was hospitalised in Los Angeles and placed on life support before her family decided to withdraw it. Knowings appeared on All That from 1997 to 2001, playing characters including Penny Lane and Jessica in the “Whateverrr!!!” sketches. Co-stars Kenan Thompson and Josh Server led tributes online, calling her funny and a light in every room. She later released a folk single in 2020.
