# Churchill Brothers buy Jamshedpur FC for Rs 100, enter ISL

Tata Steel has sold its entire stake in Jamshedpur Football Club to Churchill Brothers for a token Rs 100, transferring the ISL sporting licence to the Goan side for the 2026-27 season starting September 4. Churchill Brothers have paid the Rs 1.1 crore participation fee to the AIFF by the Friday deadline. The transfer includes head coach Owen Coyle, assistant Alexander Stewart, and 12 players including internationals Pronay Halder and Nikhil Barla. Jamshedpur FC had disbanded its first team on July 31 after missing the fee deadline. Churchill Brothers, former I-League champions in 2008-09 and 2012-13, were relegated to the third tier after pulling out of the 2025-26 Indian Football League.
