# CJI says dialogue, dignity, inclusion essential for access to justice

CJI Surya Kant on Saturday said dialogue, dignity and inclusion are essential for access to justice. Speaking at the Western Zone Regional Conference of the National Legal Services Authority in Indore, he stressed that legal aid must not merely dispose of cases but treat people with respect. He called for hearing grievances in citizens' own languages and described legal services volunteers as a 'judicial army' taking schemes to the grassroots. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, addressing the same event, said technology such as e-filing, digital records and virtual hearings is revamping the judicial framework. He added that new laws have replaced colonial-era legislation.
