The Cockroach Janta Party on Thursday formed its first National Working Committee, naming founder Abhijeet Dipke as national convener and Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka as co-conveners. The announcement followed a two-day core team meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The organisation said it will remain a public pressure group, not contest elections as a political party for now. The CJP plans to create state, Lok Sabha and city-level coordination units within six months, alongside a website-based membership drive. It said it is not collecting funds. A delegation will visit Jharkhand, where protests over alleged recruitment exam irregularities have entered their 13th day, according to the reports.
